After a slightly wobbly excursion into a fantasy Japan Pathfinder seems to be back onto firmer ground with this pirate-themed Adventure Path. Characters find themselves pressganged into crewing a ship captained by a traitor to the cause of freebooting who is intent on selling out his fellow captains to the evil empire of Cheliax. It is all a bit tosh and nonsensical but a piratical existence basically aligns perfectly with the driving forces of the D&D campaign model. There are frequent changes of scene and many advantages to defeating rivals and acquiring their booty. |
